Youth Ambassador
Leadership Training Opportunity

Tourette Syndrome Association at the National level is offering a new program, entitled Youth Ambassador Leadership Training. The goal of the program is to select a team of one youth/one adult through an application process, provide the youth/adult team with training in public speaking, guidance on how to present the program, the logistics of a presentation, a talk by a leading TSA physician, and an exciting opportunity to advocate on behalf of TSA in Congressional offices on the Trip to the Hill. Training will occur at the TSA 2008 National Conference as part of the pre-conference activities April 2-3.

Please note that the youth applying does NOT have to have Tourette Syndrome, but he/she must be committed to the program's goals and want to promote understanding of the disorder. Also note that the partner adult does not need to be the youth's parent but must be a responsible adult with the parent's consent.

To be selected to attend the April Training, completed applications should be submitted to their respective chapter by January 31. Once applications are reviewed, the chapter will submit its recommendation to the National Office by February 15. Selected teams will be notified by February 28, 2008.

The deadline for training is fast approaching. Click Here for more information.
